Social Media & Content Operations Specialist
CISI is seeking a part-time Social Media & Content Operations Specialist to manage social media channels, create bilingual content, and support brand awareness and lead generation among international students in the United States.
Position Overview
The Social Media & Content Operations Specialist will support CISI’s digital presence across major social platforms. This role is ideal for someone who understands social media trends, enjoys creating helpful student-facing content, and is interested in international education, F-1 student topics, Day 1 CPT, OPT, career planning, and study-in-the-U.S. resources.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and operate CISI’s social media accounts across platforms such as Instagram, Xiaohongshu, Reddit, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Plan, create, and publish engaging bilingual content related to international students, F-1 status, Day 1 CPT, OPT, career planning, and study-in-the-U.S. topics.
- Assist with content calendar planning, topic research, copywriting, visual direction, and short-form video ideas.
- Monitor social media trends and identify timely content opportunities relevant to international students in the U.S.
- Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and community discussions in a professional and helpful manner.
- Track content performance and provide basic insights on engagement, reach, follower growth, and lead generation.
- Support brand awareness and lead generation efforts through organic social media growth.
- Collaborate with the internal team to align social content with website articles, email campaigns, events, and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in social media, content creation, digital marketing, or international education.
- Excellent written communication skills in English; Chinese proficiency is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, Xiaohongshu, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, or LinkedIn.
- Ability to create clear, engaging, and audience-friendly content for international students.
- Basic understanding of F-1 students, OPT, CPT, or studying in the U.S. is preferred.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage tasks independently in a remote work environment.
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools, or other content creation tools is a plus.
- Prior experience in social media management, content marketing, campus ambassador work, or student community operations is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual content writing in English and Chinese.
- Short-form video planning, editing, or scripting experience.
- Experience growing social media accounts organically.
- Understanding of SEO, email marketing, or digital advertising is a plus.
- Comfortable researching policy updates, student concerns, and trending topics, then turning them into easy-to-understand content.
